Lower BOD/COD Prior to Discharge—Oxidation and consumption of residual organics can result in better compliance with regulations and lower surcharges. Bioremediation Pre-Treatment —Oxidation of residual long chain organics that are naturally toxic to bacteria are broken down for easier consumption by bacteria. Reduces Residual Color in the Waste Stream—Removal of color from waste streams due to the reduction of compounds such as tannins, lignins, etc. Reduces Residual Odor/Taste in the Waste Stream—Removal/reduction of compounds such as volatile fatty acids, hydrogen sulfides, ammonia, etc. Precipitates Suspended Solids—Ozonation is a micro-flocculent that allows for the physical removal of the resulting suspended solids via filtration.
