New Marine Wastewater Treatment System Never Requires Discharge….NO DISCHARGE! 100% recycling of waste water is friendly to the environment and business!

A federal court decision last September that the Clean Water Act applies to most vessels operating in US waters has the potential to change the rules on virtually all types of discharges from millions of ships to include:

·        US Naval Ships

·        Cruise Ships

·        Yachts

·        Passenger Vessels

·        House Boats

·        Fishing Vessels

·        Commercial Freighters

·        Commercial Barges

·        Recreational Boats

The shipyards, ports and marinas that serve all these vessels are desperately seeking a solution as well. More restrictions and more environmentally friendly requirements are growing and here to stay!

Self-Contained 100% Recycled Marine Waste Water System is available today!

Customers rave about there Marine Dragonfly Water Treatment System and go so far as to say this affordable technology has “changed their lives and their businesses forever!”

As a result of research and projects funded by the US government a small group of ex-NASA engineers and subcontractors have developed a no discharge system they call the Marine Dragonfly. A combination of biology, high-level oxidation, computer technology and some special engineering patented-tricks deliver the magic and make this scalable to any type of ship.

Customers that include a special events river cruise ship and one of the world’s largest gambling ships say the flexibility to come and go as they please without planning for removing waste water saves the environment and their bottom line. This system exceeds regulatory requirements and they both admit they can’t afford to work without the Marine Dragonfly technology at this point!

I wanted a “green boat” because I care about the Indian River and I felt my customers did as well so it just made sense to pursue this technology. Boy I am glad I did!  This new water treatment system is “green” and gives me the flexibility of booking 2 cruises a day while it saves me thousands in pump-out fees!

Industry Problem- Dumping or Discharging Waste Draws Critics & Regulation

For example the cruise ship tourism has experienced massive growth in the last 30 years. During these three decades, the number of people opting to spend their vacations on board one of these vessels has multiplied by 25 and so, as a result, have the associated problems.

Illegal environmental behavior has been pervasive throughout the cruise industry. From 1993 to 2003, cruise ships committed more than 300 acts of dumping containments resulting in $80 million in fines and penalties. 2001 tests of effluent from cruise ships, by the state of Alaska where sewage discharges are regulated, show that the antiquated technology in most cruise ships failed 69 times out of 70 samples.

--Press Release- OCEANA
www.oceana.org

Oceana, a non-profit international advocacy organization solely dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans, claims the average cruise ship with 3000 passengers and crew generates about 30,000 gallons of human waste and 255,000 gallons of non-sewage gray water every day.

The cruise industry’s own customer base is appalled at the practice of cruise ships dumping untreated sewage into the ocean and the lax laws that enable this practice. When informed of common practices cruise customers overwhelmingly want to see upgrades to treatment systems and stronger laws to ensure improvements.

Cruise Ship Customers are Concerned & Want Tougher Monitoring

Organizations like OCEANA are getting the word out and the revenue stream of cruise ships is jeopardized by customer concerns. They are not the only group concerned as fisherman and oceanfront communities are concerned about the economic impact of contaminated water that can easily cost millions and millions of dollars.

More than 90 percent of cruise customer support:

·         Cruise Ship upgrades in on board waste water facilities to fully treat sewage

·         Improved monitoring and inspection of Cruise Ships

·         Tougher sewage treatment standards

The International Council of Cruise Lines estimates that so far roughly 40 percent of its member’s 130 ships have installed advanced wastewater systems, with 10 or 15 added each year. Each system costs $2 million to $10 million a ship and it takes six to 12 months to install.

Advantages of a “Green” Waste Water Treatment System

Every level of marine vessel service has a different set of challenges and opportunities these challenges present. The cruise industry has discovered the cost of equipping their ships with advance water treatment systems, at $2 to $10 million a ship, can pay for itself in the cost of regulatory compliance, customer appreciation and operational savings.

The Marine Dragonfly advance water treatment system will be a fraction of these costs for the cruise industry and virtually every vessel operating in inland, coastal or international waters that is dealing with 1000 gallons or more in waste water daily.

Ride the benefits of being part of the “green” movement with your vessel while enjoying the flexibility and savings associated with a self-contained waste water treatment system.
